Throughout their tenured careers, Butler-Cohen principals Eric Cohen and Sean Butler have designed, developed and managed construction projects for clients in a multitude of industries at every stage of the building process. By offering tailored construction services, we are able to provide an array of options to meet our clients’ needs from basic pre-design consultations to entire design + build projects, managed from inception to completion. ERIC M. COHEN

ERIC M. COHEN Principal

Eric Cohen is a veteran Texas construction lawyer who oversees the company’s business operations and project development activities. Eric has extensive experience in the financing, design and construction of a wide variety of projects, including educational, correctional and commercial projects. Eric received his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and his law degree from South Texas College of Law.

He is a member of the American Correctional Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, the Construction Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Design-Build Institute of America and several other industry organizations.

SEAN M. BUTLER

SEAN M. BUTLER Principal

Sean Butler is a seasoned construction professional with over 15 years of experience in overseeing all phases of design and construction. Sean received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Texas A&M University and is well versed in project management, coordination, planning, organizing, document preparation and building code and regulations compliance.

Sean’s team approach to the development, design and construction of projects provides clients, design professionals and contractors with the tools needed to achieve schedule and budget goals that many may think are unachievable. Sean has been certified by the Design-Build Institute of America and is a member of several industry organizations.

MATT ELBERT

MATT ELBERT Chief Financial Officer & Chief Procurement Officer

Matt Elbert joins the team with over 10 years of experience developing organizations in the United States and abroad. With a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, Executive Management Certification from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an Executive Leadership Certification in International Business from INSEAD, Matt has vast experience in financial and budget planning, procurement and facilities management.

He is a member of the Houston Chapter of the Construction Financial Managers Association.

DUSTIN BAUGH

DUSTIN BAUGH Project Development Manager

Dustin Baugh has almost 20 years of project management, design, construction, cost planning and scheduling experience in multiple industries including industrial, commercial, municipal and institutional. Over his career, Dustin has served as a program manager, project manager, MEP coordinator and operations manager. Dustin graduated from Texas A&M University-Kingsville with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Throughout his vast and diverse career, Dustin was responsible for preparing estimates, construction schedules, submittals and procurement as well as coordinating services, staff and subcontractors. As a well-qualified team member, Dustin looks forward to working on all types of projects.

CLAY HUNDLEY

CLAY HUNDLEY Project Manager

Clay Hundley has nearly 10 years of experience in construction spanning many markets including correctional, commercial, medial, oil and gas, industrial and residential. He received his Bachelor of Science Construction from Texas A&M University as well as his Masters of Science in Construction Management from the University of Houston.

Clay’s extensive experience in the field and office has equipped him with all the necessary skills to manage projects and problem solve. He has been certified as an Design-Build Professional by the Design-Build Institute of America.

JIMMY DRISCOLL

JIMMY DRISCOLL Project Controls Manager

Jimmy Driscoll has nearly 10 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction. He has worked as a field engineer, project coordinator, procurement specialist, documents controls and project controls manager. He received his Masters of Business Administration in Finance which has armed him with the tools to effectively manage the cost control side of the business.

Jimmy’s extensive experience has prepared him with the skill set to manage information flow and problem solve. As a well-diversified team member, Jimmy looks forward to working on all types of projects.

LYN SMITH

LYN SMITH Accounting Manager

Lyn Smith has worked in the construction industry since 2006 in both project administration and accounting. Lyn currently serves as the Accounting Manager for Butler-Cohen and manages the full cycle of accounting functions. With more than 35 years of experience in administrative operations and accounting, Lyn has worked exclusively in the construction industry over the last ten years. Her professional background includes Project Administration, Accounting, Human Resources and Administrative Operations.
