About the Project

Michael Hsu is a renowned architect firm based in Austin, Texas. He puts a Texan spin on sophisticated designs that range from mixed-use condos to offices, hotels and restaurants. His portfolio includes Uchi, Uchiko, Local Foods, and the South Congress hotel as well as many more. His firm’s common mission is to connect people to nature while also contributing to a city’s culture.

Ultimately expanding their firm to Houston, Texas, Butler-Cohen was hired as the contractor for their new space. This project was an adaptive re-use of 1300sf into new office and work space. The scope also included demolition, hardwood floors, ceramic tile, custom millwork and wall coverings, sheetrock walls, paint, glazing, and MEP upgrades. This project was completed on time and in budget.
