About the Project

Butler-Cohen was engaged as Construction Manager-at-Risk to complete the construction of a new, ground-up elementary/middle school campus for charter school developer Turner Impact Capital in suburban Austin, TX. The campus consists of K-8 classrooms, a gymnasium/multi-purpose room, servery, office/admin suite and library. Site development included a sports fields and playground, parking/bus loop, and utility improvements including infrastructure development for surrounding properties as part of a development agreement with the city of Buda.
Several strategies were employed to fast track construction of the property to meet the opening date, including early approval of civil package and fast-tracking
steel fabrication by locking in the floor plan and structural design after Design Development.
