ABOUT US
Our complete understanding of the project lifecycle gives clients access to valuable information during the development, design, and construction stage allowing them to make well-informed, business decisions.
Butler-Cohen’s personal policies of honesty, integrity, and commitment provide a solid basis for an effective and lasting relationship to ensure the success of your project from initial design through completion. When you partner with Butler-Cohen, you’ll experience design and construction the way it’s meant to be: In vision. In form.
Butler-Cohen began operations in a borrowed conference room in Deer Park, Texas. Sean Butler and Eric Cohen founded the company in 2014 as a two-person team with Sean in charge of project production and Eric handling business development and operations. With the latest software systems and technology in place, tremendous efficiencies in work flow were formed that generated company growth both in projects and employees.
Sean and Eric then hired quality personnel around which the company could be built. One by one, client by client, project by project, the company developed to its current size of 70 employees. Each person here at Butler-Cohen is empowered to make a positive impact on all projects, clients, and business relationships.
Butler-Cohen strives to make every experience with the company positive. We provide complete transparency into the construction process so that any potential issues can be quickly identified and resolved before they can mature. Open communication and collaboration are the cornerstones of Butler-Cohen’s business philosophy.
Our safety program is another core of the business. Early on, we learned how to work safely in high-risk, industrial environments. Our understanding of the safety requirements on industrial projects and its quality work is a rare combination for a general contractor. The same safety practices and procedures developed for Butler-Cohen’s industrial projects are implemented throughout its portfolio of projects. Our site managers and construction executives all receive comprehensive training so they can work on any project and employ consistent safety principles and programs throughout. Butler-Cohen’s safety program is overseen by our Safety Director and is constantly evolving to protect our workers ensuring they go home every day in the same condition they arrived.
Butler-Cohen concentrates operations in four market sectors: education, industrial, justice, and general commercial work. In all markets, we offer a variety of services and contract delivery methods. We have extensive experience in providing design+build services, where our personnel have honed collaboration and cooperation skills. Butler-Cohen’s team approach allows us to efficiently work with the entire project team to accomplish project goals.
