About the Project

Butler–Cohen renovated an existing 1,000 bed detention facility to accommodate changes in use for the facility. Our team renovated the existing 40,000 sq ft Administration Building to meet new standards and requirements for the end user. The project also included renovations to the main housing unit, including remodeled dormitories with the introduction of softer architectural finishes, renovation and commissioning of the existing food service facilities, and recommissioning or upgrades to existing life safety, MEP, and security systems. This fast-tracked project was successfully completed within 120 days from initial Notice to Proceed.
