Local Foods Downtown– Houston, TX

About the Project

Local Foods in downtown Houston is the fourth installation of the concept by Benjy Levit. The restaurant was designed by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture of Austin, Texas, and was built inside a historic building on Main Street originally constructed in 1934. The restaurant features a main dining room with a mezzanine overlook, full service bar and a basement containing a prep kitchen and private bar area. Butler-Cohen was engaged to complete all of the construction renovations. The project consisted of interior reconstruction of approximately 11,000 SF of existing commercial storefront space, including drywall assemblies, interior finishes, doors, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and roofing improvements.
