Texas Parks and Wildlife Tyler Nature Center
About the Project
This Design-Build project was completed in 2022 and consists of the re-development of an 82-acre Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) facility known as Tyler Nature Center, serving as the East Texas base of operations. The project consists of a 20,000 square foot administration building and three maintenance buildings totaling over 21,000 square feet, serving the State Parks, Law Enforcement, Inland Fisheries and Wildlife divisions, as well as the TPWD fire program. A dilapidated 1940s-era building was restored and converted to a Conservation Education Pavilion. Site improvements include new retaining walls, landscaping and bioswales, walking trails, parking, and access roads.
