The Kendall County Jail Expansion consists of a 2-story addition to the existing Kendall County Jail facility, including new dormitories totalling 51 beds, and a new medical unit to acommodate exam space and a nurse’s station. The structural system of the jail consists primarily of CMU walls with metal deck over steel joists. The program consists of several 8-man dormitory-style housing units with a medical unit and separation cells on the ground floor, and a mezzanine with an elevated staff position on the second level.

@Why does the new Ector County Courthouse need 15 courtrooms?
Because the County's justice system includes multiple courts with different responsibilities, including District Courts, County Courts at Law and Justice of the Peace Courts.
The new courthouse will bring these functions together in a purpose-built facility, with dedicated spaces to support court proceedings, jury service, clerks, attorneys and the many other services that keep the justice system moving.

The five-block civic complex will bring together a new courthouse, parking garage, civic park, future library and post office, creating a connected space for government services, community activities and everyday visitors.

The Butler-Cohen team was in Waco for the 104th Annual County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas Conference, and we had such a great time connecting and catching up throughout the week.
To top it off, we hosted our After-Dinner Drinks & Cigars Social with hand-rolled cigars, live music, drinks, desserts, and great company.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out and spent the evening with us. We loved seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new ones, and making some great memories along the way.
